The 65th Annual Rose Cup Races delivered a standout weekend of racing, community engagement, and expanded attractions at Portland International Raceway, highlighted by intense on-track competition and a record-setting Bring a Trailer / Avant-Garde Collection car show.
The 2026 event welcomed a major new addition with Bring a Trailer and Avant-Garde Collection, showcasing more than 300 vehicles and significantly enhancing the fan experience. The expanded car display created a dynamic atmosphere throughout the paddock, drawing enthusiasts from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
On track, competitors delivered some of the closest racing in recent Rose Cup history. Michael McAleenan claimed his second consecutive Rose Cup Feature Race victory, solidifying his place as a two-time winner of the prestigious event. Sam Bewsick led the field to green after earning pole position, setting the stage for a highly competitive feature race. Other classes, including Spec Miata, Vintage, Spec Racer Ford, and Small/Mid Bore, provided exciting racing throughout the weekend.
Off track, fans enjoyed a vibrant festival atmosphere with a variety of food trucks and vendors. Audi Wilsonville supported the event by providing two pace vehicles, ensuring smooth and professional race operations throughout the weekend. The Northwest Ford Street Team hosted a well-attended BBQ and teams dinner on Saturday evening.
Youth engagement was a key highlight this year, with three different youth groups participating in the event and gathering in the new Friends of PIR (FOPIR) Pavilion. This initiative reinforced the Rose Cup Races’ ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of motorsports enthusiasts.
